Stone Mountain Electrical & Wiring Repair
Electricity is a fickle beast, and one that requires an electrician with the confidence and knowledge necessary to ensure your repairs go off without a hitch. You can count on our Stone Mountain electricians for all of your repair needs. Not sure when you may need repairs? Keep an eye out for these sure signs that you need electrical repair:
- Appliances generating unnatural heat. It’s fairly normal for machines and appliances to stay slightly warm during operation, but if you notice equipment getting warmer than usual, or even hot to the touch, there’s likely an issue with your wiring.
- Over-frequent flickering. A little flicker now and then is natural, and common to all homes. But if you notice a frequent or consistent flicker that doesn’t seem tied to major machinery kicking into action, you may have an issue with your wiring, breaker box, or appliance.
- Sparking. Outlets that spark, or sparking coming from fixtures is a sure sign of arcing or a weak ground, both of which should be addressed immediately!
- Burning, charring or “ozone” smells. If you notice any smell resembling burning coming from your panel or wires, cut power to your home and contact a professional immediately. This is a very serious issue, and should be handled right away!
If you’ve noticed any of these warning signs in your Stone Mountain home, give R.S. Andrews a call at 770-913-6412 immediately!

Furnished, wired, and replaced the existing breaker that feeds the kitchen counter outlets. Said breaker is being replaced since the existing one tripped but got stuck and didn't trip completely. Furnished, wired, and installed a surge protector in panel A as it did not have one.

Customer called us out to troubleshoot power issues in home. Found panel burning up. Furnished, wired, and replaced said panel with a new panel and all new breakers. Relabeled panel as is. We are not responsible for mislabeled circuits. All circuits work as they should.

We demoed existing meter base in the back of the house that was in brick. We chiseled the brick to make room for the new meter base. We furnished, wired, and installed said meter base. Some of the brick broke as we chiseled. We are not responsible for brick repair. We furnished a permit and coordinated with the power company to turn power back on. We tested the power at the panel once meter was installed by Georgia Power. Performed panel maintenance and tightened all connections.

no cool upstairs. System low on freon. Did leak search and found leak in coil. Unit is 28years old needs replacing. added 1.5lbs of r22 freon.

Repairs are short term solutions and we highly recommend upgrading. System serving the main floor has a major leak in circuit. We charged unit up and system is now cooling well. We do not warranty freon or can guarantee how long unit will cool properly. Also found a very worn and pitted contactor which will fail soon and cause a breakdown. Wire was already starting to melt off. Dual capacitor is below specs and can cause unit to fail and damage other electrical components. Customer has declined those repairs at this time. Basement system condensate pump is not pumping properly. Customer is trying to do repair himself. If he needs any help he will call us back. System is currently cooling properly. Current refrigerant pressures: TXV COIL -Low= 125 -High= 325 -Super heat= 18' -Subcool= 14'
