Cooling your home shouldn’t always mean turning up the air conditioning. A whole house fan pulls in fresh outdoor air through your windows and pushes hot, stale air out through the attic—creating a natural breeze that cools your entire home in minutes. At R.S. Andrews, we install high-performance whole house fans for Atlanta homeowners who want a quieter, more energy-efficient way to stay comfortable. Our team ensures each system is properly sized, safely wired, and sealed to perform at its best. It’s an ideal solution for early mornings, mild evenings, or anyone looking to give their AC a well-earned break.

How to Know If a Whole House Fan Is Right for You

Whole house fans aren’t just for older homes—they’re a smart, energy-saving solution for anyone looking to cool down quickly without overworking the AC. If any of the situations below sound familiar, this could be the upgrade your home needs:

  • You open your windows in the morning or evening to cool off: A whole house fan supercharges that airflow and refreshes your entire home.

  • Your energy bills spike every summer: Using a fan instead of AC during mild weather can significantly cut cooling costs.

  • Your attic gets unbearably hot: Removing heat from the attic helps cool your living space faster and protects your roof and insulation.

  • You want to reduce indoor humidity: These fans help pull moisture out of the air, especially after cooking or showering.

  • You like fresh air but don’t want to run the AC: Enjoy outdoor air circulation without sacrificing comfort or convenience.

  • Your HVAC system struggles to keep up: Adding a whole house fan can ease the load and extend your AC’s lifespan.

Schedule today! We’re ready to deliver expert service and a smile to your door.

Our Whole House Fan Services

Whole House Fan Installation

We install high-efficiency whole house fans that are quiet, powerful, and built to keep your home cooler without overusing your HVAC system. Each fan is sized based on your home’s layout, ceiling height, and ventilation needs. Our team handles the full process—from attic prep to wiring—so everything runs smoothly from day one.

Fan Replacement & Upgrades

If your existing fan is loud, ineffective, or out of date, we can recommend a modern replacement with better airflow and noise control. New models use advanced motor technology and insulated shutters for improved performance. We’ll remove the old system and retrofit the new fan with minimal disruption to your home.

Attic Venting & Airflow Evaluation

A whole house fan needs proper attic ventilation to perform effectively and avoid backpressure. We evaluate your attic’s airflow and make any necessary upgrades, like adding roof vents or gable fans. This ensures your fan works efficiently and safely, even in Atlanta’s peak summer heat.

Smart Fan & Timer Controls

We install wall-mounted controls, digital timers, and smart switches so you can run your fan at the right times with ease. Some systems can be paired with temperature or humidity sensors for hands-free efficiency. Our electricians wire everything cleanly and test the controls before leaving.

Soundproofing & Seal Kits

Don’t want a loud fan echoing through your home? We offer insulated housings and noise-reduction upgrades that keep operation whisper-quiet. Our team also installs airtight shutters to seal the system when it’s not in use, preventing drafts in winter.

Why Homeowners Choose Us

A whole house fan might seem like a simple upgrade, but getting the best results takes experience, precision, and a team that knows how to work with your home’s unique layout. At R.S. Andrews, we install every system like it’s our own—quiet, secure, and built to last through the Georgia heat. We don’t just install the fan and walk away; we make sure your attic can handle the airflow, your wiring is safe, and your comfort improves right away. It’s all about doing it right the first time—and making it easy for you.

  • We size it right the first time: No guesswork—just smart recommendations based on airflow needs, not just square footage.

  • We make quiet cool possible: From soundproofing to balanced installation, we make sure your fan doesn’t roar through the house.

  • We think beyond the fan: Proper venting, control wiring, and insulation are part of every install—not expensive add-ons.

  • Our team respects your home: Drop cloths, clean finishes, and no mess left behind—we treat every attic and hallway with care.

Lang wasn't able to arrive until 6:30pm as I had requested an undefined window. At first he couldn't find anything wrong with our brand new Lennox Elite compressor or unit. But it's as if he took it as a personal attack. Lang worked past 7pm, in a rainstorm, to discover two faulty coils in the compressor. Once he found the issue, it was repaired in minutes. I would highly recommend this tech.

The service tech, Waqas Shafqat, from RS Andrews performed winter system maintenance on our two HVAC units. We received a courtesy call about 30 minutes before he was due to arrive and he got here right on time. After a brief review about what to expect today, he got right to work. He was careful to put on shoe covers so as to not track in any mud or grass and checked the electrical portion of our downstairs unit. He also cleaned the thermo whatever it is that determines when to turn on and off the blower. He set the thermostat to a very warm temperature and let the furnace run. He then went to the upstairs unit and repeated the process. By the time he had finished with the electronics upstairs, he was able to return to the downstairs unit and determine that it was heating properly. When he had finished and closed up the downstairs unit, he was able to check that the upstairs was heating properly too. I followed along with him through the entire visit. While I may not know the names of all of the parts, I have seen enough of these visits to know that he checked everything and did all of what was expected very well. This is the second time that Waqas has been here. I was pleased to see that he was going to be performing our maintenance check today and would highly recommend him for any HVAC maintenance, service or inspection.
